Transylvanian Full Day Tour

In recent years it has been the most promoted tour outside Bucharest. We do it too ... why not? It is really worth visiting 2 castles with totally different architecture and history and one of the most beautiful cities in Transylvania: Brasov.

The trip lasts a full day, departure from University Square at 08:00 and return at about 20:00, depending on traffic. If the tour is private or has maximum two pick ups, the pick-up can be from the hotel.

Note: The Peles Castle  is closed in the period 1-30 November. We will visit the Pelisor Castle instead, "the brother" of Peles. The Peles Castle will be seen from the outside, as they are very close. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the city of Bucharest with the guide in English! Hotel pick-up incurs an additional charge of 10 euros / group for the shared tour.

Here we will update the departures dates already established with groups formed by minimum 4 persons. In this case, the price per person is 60 EUR/person. However, you can ask us for other periods, because maybe the dates are not updated. august, september.

The experience includes: 

•  Transportation by car / minivan / modern minibus with air conditioning;
•  English speaking guide for the whole trip;

• The pick-up service from the hotel will be for private groups only. For all other groups, pick-up from the hotel incurs an additional charge of 10 euros / group.

Which is extra:

• Tickets to the museums: Peles Castle and Bran Castle, Sinaia Monastery;
• Lunch and dinner (the trip can be customized, adding lunch / dinner or even one night).

 Program:

Departure at 08:00, direction Bucharest - Sinaia (Visit Peles Castle and Sinaia Monastery) - Bran - (Visit Bran Castle) - Brasov. Return to Bucharest, around 20.00 pm.

After breakfast, departure to Sinaia, a famous town in Romania for its natural beauties and tourist attractions. The Castle of Peles, summer residence of the royal families of Carol I, Ferdinand, Carol II and Michele is one of the most beautiful castles in Europe. It was built on the order of Carol I, owes its particularity to the architectural style that combines various elements: Gothic, Baroque, traditional Romanian, art nouveau and others, so the castle could be considered a lesson in the history of art. 

Later we visit the monastery of Sinaia which has existed since the end of the seventeenth century, being in the forests of the Carpathian mountains. The Romanian-style construction "brancovenesc" was made by the army general Mihail Cantacuzino in 1695. 

The trip proceeds to the famous Bran Castle, known as the Castle of "Dracula", after Bram Stocker created the legend of Count Dracula. In reality the castle was built by the Saxons as a guard post to defend and control the trade route that connected the Transylvanian and Valachian regions in the Middle Ages. The term Bran means "border". The place is linked to the legendary prince Vlad the Impaler who had a series of fights in the area during the fifteenth century. In our country the castle is known as the summer residence for Queen Mary who came here often, far from court life in Bucharest. 

The tour continues to Brasov, one of the most beautiful multicultural cities of our country, located in Transylvania. You can see the Council Square, the Council Tower, the Black Church, Catherine Tower, the Black Tower and White Tower and the ancient area of ​​the city called Schei, where the Romanians lived from long ago.

 Return based on traffic, after 19:30.

Note 1: Lunch is done according to group preferences. If the trip is private, tourists can agree with the guide and ask what they prefer. If the trip is a group, we will let you know before leaving if the lunch is free or at the restaurant. Lunch is not included and is not mandatory. Usually we do it quickly to save time.

 Note 2: Depending on traffic and estimated time (during peak periods in the city), the return is made directly from Bran - Targovishte - Bucharest and you do not visit the city of Brasov.You will visit the old capital of the region Walacchia, from the time of Vlad the Impaler: Targoviste.

If the group size is at least 4 people, the price is 60 EUR / person. Contact us to communicate the situation. If you do not form a group and you will be 2 or 3 people, the fee is 100 EUR / person. For larger groups (a group of friends or a family of minimum 5 people) send us a private message and we will respond within 12 hours, calculating an appropriate price.
