Itinerary:

Day 1.Airport - Bucharest. 4* Hotel Capitol / Ambasador accommodation - 16 km –

Arrival in Bucharest and meeting with the English speaking guide, who will follow you for the entire trip. Depending on the time of arrival, departure by bus for a short panoramic tour of the Romanian capital, admiring its wide avenues, the glorious buildings of the "Belle Époque" style, the Arch of Triumph, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Square of the Revolution and the University Square. Dinner in a typical restaurant with folklore show and overnight.

 

Day 2. Bucharest - Curtea de Arges - Sibiu - Sibiel. Accommodation at Casa Ana Ciortea 3 * or similar - 280 km

Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Sibiu, European Capital of Culture in 2007, crossing the beautiful valley of the Olt river. Stop to visit the Curtea de Arges monastery and the Cozia monastery from the 14th century, considered masterpieces of Wallachian architecture.

Arrival in Sibiu, visit the historical center of the European capital, known at the time for its fortification system considered the largest in Transylvania with over 7 km of walls which today are important vestiges. Day 3. Sibiu - Medias – Targu Mures - Bistrita. Accommodation Hotel Ozana 4* or similar - 215 km -

Day 5. Piatra Neamt - Bicaz Gorges - Red Lake - Sighisoara. Accommodation Hotel Binder Bubi 4* - 210 km –

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast in the hotel, departure for Brasov and visit one of the most fascinating medieval villages of Romania, during which you can admire the Schei District with Saint Nicholas church, the first Romanian school (XV century), the Black Church , the largest church in Romania in Gothic style and the ancient fortifications of the city with the bastions of the corporations. In the afternoon we arrive in Sinaia, called “the Pearl of the Carpathians”, the best known mountain resort in Romania. Visit of Peles Castle, built at the end of the 19th century in the neo-Gothic style typical of Bavarian castles. Day 7. Bucharest - Airport

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, depending on the departure time, you can visit the Village Museum, located in the lush Herastrau Park, one of the largest outdoor parks in Europe. Restored country houses, large barn and running water mills fill the narrow alleys. The museum illustrates how it was Romania a few hundred years ago, but also today in some historical regions such as Maramures or Bucovina. Free lunch during the day.
