Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival in Bucharest. Accommodation Hotel Capitol / Ambasador 4* - 16 km -

After arriving at Otopeni, you will meet the guide at the airport and will be transfered to the hotel. You have time to relax, visit the city with the guide, according to the program. In this day you experience a traditional dinner in a special restaurant, with folklore show.

 

Day 2 - Bucharest. Accommodation Hotel Capitol / Ambasador 4* - 20 km -

In this day we get to know the Romanian capital, nicknamed in the past "Little Paris from Eastern Europe". During the tour we visit the Palace of Parliament, the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. You will understand how the Romanian people managed to overthrow the last Communist dictator in Eastern Europe in Revolution Square. The next attractions of the tour are the Romanian University, the Opera House, the National Military Circle, the Military Academy, the Arch of Triumph and the Village Museum. Dinner in medieval or traditional restaurant.

 

Day 3 - Bucharest - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov. Accommodation Hotel Coroana Brasovului / Wagner 3* - 200 km -

After taking the breakfast we leave Bucharest and go to visit the Peles Castle, built as the summer residence of King Carol I. Then, we continue to visit the 17th-century Sinaia monastery and Bran. The Bran Castle was made so famous thanks to Bram Stoker's novel, as the residence of Count Vlad Dracula. Instead, you will hear fascinating stories about Vlad the Impaler. After arriving in Brasov, we go to hotel for the accommodation, free time, dinner.

 

Day 4 - Brasov - Sighisoara - Sibiu - Sibiel. Accommodation Ana Ciortea House  3* in Sibiel - 200 km -

After taking the breakfast, we visit Brasov, once the richest city in Transylvania. During the tour you will see the Black Church, the smallest street in Europe (Rope street), the town hall and others. The trip continues with Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval city in southeastern Europe, for a sightseeing tour and visit of the famous Clock Tower Museum. Then, we go to Sibiu for a walking tour of the city including the Bridge of Lies, the Council Tower, the Big Square and others. We take the dinner in a local restaurant. To lodge in Sibiu in a 4* hotel, you pay a supplement of 15 EUR / person, but we strongly suggest that you stay overnight in the village of Sibiel.

Day 5 - Sibiu - Hunedoara - Timisoara. 3/4 * hotel accommodation. - 270 km -

After taking the breakfast we go to Timisoara. On the way we will visit the fortress of Hunedoara (Corvin castle) which became the castle of the most eminent king of the Middle Ages in Hungary and Transylvania - Mathias Corvin. The monument has a particular charm thanks to its different construction styles, the presence of military and civil innovations and also for the impetuous court life that has animated it for over 400 years. Timisoara, the city where the Romanian revolution began in 1989, has more touristics attractions like the ruins of the Timisoara fortress, the Pasha residential areas, the Corso shopping area and a big historical center.

 

Day 6 - Timisoara - Novi Sad - Belgrad. Accommodation in 3 * / 4 * Lazar Lux Hotel or similar - 235 km -

After taking the breakfast, we go to Novi Sad which is the capital of the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina and the second largest city in Serbia after Belgrade. Upon arrival we enjoy a walking tour of all the main attractions of Novi Sad, including Petrovaradin Fortress, Liberty Square, Cathedral, City Council, Zmaj Jovina and Dunavaska Street. We continue the trip to Belgrad, the capital of Serbia. We take the dinner and stay overnight.

 

Day 7 - Belgrad. Accommodation in 3*/4* Lazar Lux Hotel or similar - 20 km -

The sightseeing tour in Belgrad includes the main attractions of the city: the imposing fortress of Kalemegdan located dramatically at the union of the Sava and Danube rivers; the Republic Square and Knez Mihajlova Street; St. Sava temple, the largest Orthodox church in the city, and the Titus memorial. This evening we take the dinner with local live music in a typical national restaurant in the old bohemian district of Skadarlija.

 

Day 8 - Belgrade - Nis - Sofia. 3*/ 4* Light Hotel accommodation or similar - 390 km -

We go to visit Nis, the third largest city in Serbia. Here we can enjoy an orientation tour and a free lunch. Proceed to Sofia with arrival in the late afternoon. Tonight, dinner and folklore show in a specific local restaurant.

 

Day 9: Sofia. Light Hotel accommodation or similar 3*/4* - 20 km -

We do a half day tour of the city of Sofia. The main objectives are the National History Museum where the Thracian treasures in gold and silver, the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the Alexander Nevski Crypt are exhibited. We have free evening to relax.

 

Day 10 - transfer to Sofia airport

After taking the breakfast, you have free time until the departure transfer to the airport for the return flight.
