Day 1. Arrival of Otopeni Airport from Italy; Transfer to Bucharest at the hotel, meeting with the guide and guided tour of the city according to the time of arrival. Overnight Hotel city center 3/4 stars -20km-

Day 2. Bucharest - Visit of the Monastery of Curtea de Arges - Visit of the Cozia Monastery - Valea Oltului (river) - Sibiu - Sibiel. Dinner and overnight stay Sibiel in Villa Agriturismo or Sibiu hotel 3/4 saddles -280 km

    Departure for Curtea de Arges, a town with an ancient history that continues to live thanks to its buildings of the fourteenth century.The first visit is to the Monastery of Curtea de Arges built on the orders of the Holy Prince Neagoe Basarab, in Byzantine style, between 1512 and 1517 and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Surmounted by two spiral towers and a dome, the central body of the monastery is flanked by a second block surmounted in turn by a dome, higher and wider than the central one.

Also worth a visit is the Princely Church of San Nicola, decorated with beautiful frescoes dating back to 1350. The monastery is famous above all for its legend (it is not clear ... that legend ..).

We then continue to discover the Vale of the river Olt (the fourth longest in the country) and the Cozia Monastery where, down the steps you can admire the river, and raising your eyes, you can admire the majesty of the Carpathian mountains.In the afternoon we arrive in Sibiu, a Transylvanian city designated a few years ago as a European cultural capital. Depending on the time you take a guided tour of the historic center in the afternoon or the morning of the following day. Day 3. Sibiu - Alba Iulia - Cheile Turzii or Salina Turda - Cluj Napoca. Accommodazione Cluj Napoca Hotel / Agriturismo 3/4 stars -175 km-

    Departure for the city of Alba Iulia, famous for the extraordinary artistic and cultural heritage that starts from the times of the dominion of Rome through the Middle Ages and up to the construction of the eighteenth-century fortress that can still be admired today.

Then we continue to the salt mine of Turda, one of the most beautiful in Europe. Day 4. Cluj - Allegra di Sapanta Cemetery - Sapanta Peri Monastery - Sighet (from the Museum of the Memory of the Victims of Communism). Accommodazone Agritourism Complex in Maramures. -150 km 

   Located in the far north of Romania, on the border with Ukraine, the Maramures region preserves intact ancestral traditions in a fairytale setting where time seems to have stopped and where the peasants still work with instruments elsewhere disappeared. Inhabited by the descendants of the free Dacians who gave a hard time to the Roman army, Maramures is an area known for its popular festivals, for the splendid costumes still worn today, for the architecture of houses and churches with sharp roofs built exclusively in wood and for the characteristic carved porticoes of the houses.

Day 5. Sighet - the Whirlpool - Wooden Churches of Maramures. Agritourism Complex Accommodation in Maramures. -about 50 km

  This day we continue the visit of this particular region by visiting the wooden churches Barsana (amazing the beauty of the place), Ieud (the oldest, 1364) and Rozavlea which are UNESCO monuments and we see "valtoarea", a wooden mecanism built in river to wash the vistiti, still used by the farmers.  Dinner and overnight

Day 6. Maramures - Prislop Pass - Voronet - Gura Humorului (Bucovina). Accommodation 3/4 stars -150 km

   Departure to arrive in the famous region of Bucovina, called the land of the monasteries or the country of the beech trees. Here there are the frescoed churches of the north of Moldova, 7 churches entered the UNESCO World Heritage: Arbore, Humor, Moldovita, Rasca, Sucevita and Voronet. On this day we visit the Voronet Monastery, famous for its dominant blue color and for the Last Judgment scene and the Dragomirna Monastery with the highest church in the village (42 meters). Dinner with homemade products and overnight in complex in Bucovina.

Day 7. Bucovina - Moldovita - Sucevita - Museum of Eggs Lucia Condrea - Marginea. Accommodation 3/4 stars -100 km

 Today we visit the two monasteries painted by Bucovina. The Monastery of Moldovita was erected by Prince Petru Rares, son of the Holy Prince Stephen the Great (Stefan cel Mare) in 1532 (painted in 1537 with the dominant yellow color). The fresco depicting the scene of "The Siege of Constantinople" is very famous.

The Monastery of Sucevita was erected by the Movila brothers between the years 1582 and 1584. The church is the only one that preserves the external painting also in the northern part, here there is the famous fresco "La Scara delle Virtù". The color that predominates is green. 

We will then visit the International Museum of Painted Eggs and see a demonstration of manual ceramic work at Marginea. Dinner with homemade products and overnight in complex in Bucovina.

Day 8. Bucovina - Suceava - Iasi. Accommodation Iasi 3/4 stars -157 km

   After breakfast departure for the old capital of Moldavia called Suceava with its well preserved medieval fortress, built by the Holy Prince Stefan cel Mare.

Continue to the city of Iaşi (also called Jassi) is the capital of the homonymous district located in the north-eastern part of Romania. It stretches along the Bahlui river in a flat area covered by seven hills, like Rome, the eternal city. Iasi has always been considered the capital of the historic Moldavian region, even before the territorial division. From the center of the city there are only twenty kilometers to the border with the Republic of Moldova that was torn from the Romanian territory and the river Prut which creates almost a natural border between the two countries.

You can see the avenue Stefan cel Mare with the Mitropolitana Church, the Church of the Three Hierarchs with its splendid architecture, the stupendous Baroque style Palace of Culture and the twentieth century buildings of the city. Dinner and accommodation in Iasi.

Day 9. Iasi - Wine tasting in the Husi region - Braila. Accommodation 3/4 stars - 240 km

   Departure in the morning to get to Braila. You will stop to visit one of the most famous wineries in Romania, tasting Romanian wines.

The city center of Braila is full of Baroque buildings, skilfully decorated with stuccos and statues. The curved balconies and the wrought iron railings that decorate the windows recall the ancient splendor of Braila, a rich free port of 1920. In the city of Braila the price of wheat was calculated on the European stock exchange (thanks to the largest port in the country) . Here we see the largest Orthodox church from the south-east of Europe and monuments that have resisted the times when the Ottomans were sovereign in the region. Dinner and accommodation in Braila.

Day 10. Braila - Early Christian Basilica of Niculitel - Celic Dere Monastery - Danube Delta - Murighiol. Accommodation 3/4 stars -133 km

   After breakfast we cross the Danube by ferry, and then we pass the Macin Mountains, the oldest in this country.Researchers are mainly interested in archaeological excavations, thanks to the large number of historical sites, but also to the scientific research of the immense natural treasure that exists here.

We therefore visit an archaeological site called the Early Christian Church of Niculitel, one of the oldest settlements dedicated to the cult of the holy martyrs discovered with the intact relics.

Then we arrive at the monastery whose name means "the river of steel" (celic dere, in Turkish) because in the water were discovered weapons of antiquity, to arrive in the afternoon in the Danube Delta. Dinner with fish menu and accommodation.

Day 11. Danube Delta - Boat Trip + Birdwatching in Nature - Constanta. Accommodation 3/4 stars -130 km 

  In the morning departure for a boat trip on the Danube Delta. This delta is one of the most fascinating corners of paradise in Romania. The incredible vegetation of the island, where you can admire the sand dunes, the wild beaches, the reeds, and more than 5,000 different species of plants and creatures, attracts tourists from all over the world every year.

The Danube, before plunging into the Black Sea, divides into the city of Tulcea in three arms, Chilia, Sulina and Sf. Gheorghe.

In the afternoon return to Murighiol and departure to Constanta, the most important port of Romania, located on the Black Sea coast. You can admire old buildings such as the Metropolitan Church, the Casino of Costanza, the statue of Ovid, the famous Roman poet who died just in Constance in 18 AD at the end of some years of forced exile. Dinner and accommodation in a 3/4 star hotel in Constanta.

Day 12. Constanta - Bucharest. Hotel Accomodation 3/4 star -250 km

  After another visit of the city of Constanta (in the summer you can take a sunbath in the morning on the beach) you start towards Bucharest crossing the Baragan area, known as the Granary of Europe. 

Arrival in the afternoon in Bucharest and visit of the Village Museum or Palace of Ceausescu (palace of the communist leaders in Romania) Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in the city center in Bucharest.
