Transylvania It is the most famous region of Romania, a land of medieval castles and towns, dark forests, snowy peaks (especially those in Transylvanian Alps). Day 1. Airport - Bucharest. Overnight Hotel 3/4 star city center -20 km
Departure with flight from Italy to Romania. Arrival at Bucharest airport hours and meeting with the accompanying guide for the whole tour. Transfer to a 3 * or 4 * hotel or similar. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Bucharest - Curtea de Arges Monastery - Cozia Monastery - Valea Oltului (river) - Sibiu - Sibiel. Dinner and overnight stay Sibiel in Villa Agriturismo or Sibiu hotel 3/4 saddles -280 km
Departure for the town of Curtea de Arges, with an ancient history that continues to live thanks to its buildings of the fourteenth century.In addition to the visit of the Monastery of Curtea de Arges built to the order of the Holy Prince Neagoe Basarab, it certainly deserves a visit to the Princely Church of St. Nicholas, decorated with beautiful frescoes of 1350. The monastery, however, is famous above all for its legend, built in Byzantine style between 1512 and 1517 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Surmounted by two spiral towers and a dome, the central body of the monastery is flanked by a second block surmounted in turn by a dome, higher and wider than the central one.
We continue to discover the Vale of the river Olt (the fourth longest in the country) and the Cozia Monastery where, down the steps you can admire the river, and raising your eyes, you can admire the majesty of the Carpathian mountains.You arrive in the afternoon in Sibiu, a Transylvanian city designated a few years ago as a European cultural capital. Depending on the time you take a guided tour of the historic center in the afternoon or next morning. Day 4. Cluj - Colibita - Bistrita. Overnight accommodation 3/4 star pension / hotel. -120 km
Among the sites that bind to the myth of Dracula can not miss the town of Bistrita, in the northern part of Transylvania, where the writer Bram Stroker spent the night at the protagonist of the novel Jonathan Harker before continuing his journey to the castle of Dracula.

Day 5. Bistrita - Targu-Mures - Biertan - Sighisoara. 3/4 star overnight stay. -160 km
Today, the city of Targu-Mures is a small jewel that shows the traces of a difficult past that has greatly influenced its evolution. Perhaps the most evocative place is the citadel built at the beginning of the seventeenth century with a 900 m long brick wall protected by seven bastions of about 10 m in height bearing the names of the ancient guilds.
Arrival at the Biertan Fortress, included in the Unesco World Heritage, with the fortified church of Biertan which is a true jewel of Saxon architecture. Three city walls surround the Protestant church that stands on top of a hill. Interesting and the marriage prison: here they were locked up in the same cell and kept to the bread and water the spouses who wanted to separate until the reconciliation took place. Departure for Sighisoara known as "The Pearl of Transylvania". Day 6. Sighisoara - Viscri - Brasov. Overnight accommodation 3/4 star city center of Brasov -120 km
After breakfast, departure for Brasov, one of the most beautiful multicultural cities of our country, located in Transylvania.You can see the Council Square, the Council Tower, the Black Church, Torre Ecaterina, the Black and White Tower and the ancient area of the city called Schei, where the Romanians lived from long ago. We will stop at Viscri, a Saxon village included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999, appearing on the world map of traditional villages. How did you become famous Viscri? This island of the Saxons was formed in the twelfth century, when they were brought here by order of the King of Hungary to defend Transylvania against the invaders. Day 7. Brasov - Rasnov Fortress or Prejmer - Sinaia - Snagov Monastery - Bucharest -190 km
After breakfast, I arrive at the Rasnov Fortress, the most famous and one of the best preserved Saxon fortresses from Transylvania, built to defend and control the trade route that connected the Transylvanian and Valachian regions.
From here you can admire a beautiful panorama with the surroundings of Rasnov and Brasov. Alternatively you can visit the Prejmer Fortress, founded by the Order of Teutonic Knights and included in the UNESCO World Heritage.
The tour continues with a visit to Peles Castle, Sinaia Monastery and Snagov Monastery. Here it is believed that Vlad the Impaler (the son of Vlad Dracul) was buried. The monastery was built strategically in the middle of Lake Snagov, on the island of the same name. Inside is the largest medieval wall painting in a Romanian church, built in the 16th century.
Arrival in the evening in Bucharest, dinner and overnight Hotel in the city center.
