Tips & Tricks in Bucharest
Money. Even though Romania is a part of European Union, still the currency in use is national RON/LEU. You can change foreign currency at any Exchange Office or Exchange desk of any Bank, alon with request of a passport/ID card, usually with 0% commission. Nevertheless recommended is to check before!
Payments. You can use credit card to most locations, however recommended is cash.
Taxi. Always take/order taxi with wide print of company name and rateper km on car. Normal rate is RON 1.39/km ~ EUR 0.30.
Food. You must have an authentic Romanian lunch or dinner, to experience the fabulous flavors of traditional Romanian cuisine at one of the most known traditional restaurants.
Beer. Try local brands, very appreciated at decent price. (Between 1-2 euro / 500 ml bottle)
