5 days to discovering the history and legend of Vlad The Impaler vs. Dracula

Itinerary:

Day 1. Arrival to Otopeni according to the flight, city tour. Accommodation Hotel Capitol / Ambasador 4* - 20 km

Transfer to the hotel in Bucharest and panoramic or even pedestrian tour of the city based on the flight. We can see the following attractions: the Arch of Triumph, Calea Victoriei, Revolution Square, University Square, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Royal Palace, the Central University Library, the former Central Communist Committee, etc. We also see the princely court rebuilt by Vlad Tepes in the center of the city (now is a museum). We take the dinner with a folk show in a typical or medieval restaurant (Hanul Manuc / Caru cu Bere or Excalibur).

Day 2. Bucharest - Snagov - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov. Accommodation Hotel Wagner or Coroana Brasovului 3* -200 km

After taking the breakfast, we stop at Snagov Monastery, where Vlad the Impaler (the son of Vlad Dracul) was buried. The monastery was strategically built in the middle of Lake Snagov, on the island of the same name. Inside is the largest Byzantine mural medieval preserved in a Romanian church, built in the 16th century. Departure for Sinaia, a famous place in Romania for its natural and architectural beauty. After, we go to Sinaia resort to visit the Peles Castle, summer residence of the royal families of Charles I, Ferdinand, Charles II and Michael and also the monastery of Sinaia which was erected by Mihail Cantacuzino in Brancovenesc style in 1695. In the afternoon we arrive at the famous Bran Castle, known as Dracula's Castle, built by the Teutonic Knights to become in the twentieth century the summer residence of Queen Maria, granddaughter of Queen Victoria of England. In the evening we arrive in Brasov city.

Day 3. Brasov - Viscri - Sighisoara - Brasov. Accommodation Hotel Wagner or Coroana Brasovului 3* -200 km

This morning starts by visiting touristic attractions from Brasov: the Council House, the Black Church, Catherine’s Tower, Black and White Tower and the ancient area of ​​the city called Schei. After that, we leave to go to Sighisoara, known as "The Pearl of Transylvania", a window on the medieval life, a romantic place with narrow streets and charming houses. We can see the Clock Tower, the home of the famous Vlad the Impaler, the stairs leading to the lookout point, the Evangelical Church. In the evening we go back to Brasov where we take the dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Brasov - Rasnov - Targoviste - Bucharest.  Accommodation Hotel Capitol / Ambasador 4* - 200 km -

Today we visit the Rasnov Fortress, built to defend and control the trade route that connected the regions of Transylvania and Wallachia. From here we can admire a beautiful panorama with the surroundings of Rasnov and Brasov and the path that Vlad Tepes took to reach Brasov from Bran, with his army. The last city is Targoviste, ancient residence and capital of Wallachia, where many romanian princes, including the famous Vlad the Impaler, had their royal residence; today it is an important museum complex, an open air tourist circuit consisting of several medieval buildings including the Tower of Chindia, the secular emblem of the city, built by order of Prince Vlad. In the evening we go back in Bucharest where we take the dinner and overnight.

Day 5. Bucharest - Otopeni Airport.

Free time in the morning and transfer to the airport according to the flight.
